Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with ground turkey or pork
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Substitute with Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast for dairy-free
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley Fresh is recommended for best flavor
  • 1 Large Egg Essential for binding
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Garlic powder can be used as an alternative
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Fresh onions can be used but adjust amount
  • 1 tsp Salt Reduce for low-sodium diets
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper White pepper can be used if preferred
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional for extra heat

For the Glaze

  • 1/2 cup Sweet Chili Sauce Homemade sauce can be tailored
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar Apple cider vinegar is a good substitute
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Omit if allergic or replace with olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch Optional for thickening glaze
  • 1/4 cup Water Needed to activate cornstarch if using

Instructions
 

Meatball Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for optimal roasting.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Glaze Preparation

  • In a saucepan, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Heat until combined and simmering.
  • To thicken, dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened to desired consistency.

Coating and Serving

  • Transfer baked meatballs to a bowl and pour the warm glaze over them. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Serve arranged on a platter, garnished with parsley or sesame seeds. Provide toothpicks for easy enjoyment!

Notes

For a thicker glaze, add cornstarch. Serve with rice, noodles, or salad for a hearty meal.
