  • 1 tablespoon Flour cornstarch is a gluten-free alternative

For Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper season generously

Steps

  • Cut your beef chuck roast into bite-sized cubes, trimming excess fat.
  • Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the beef cubes, ensuring they are well-coated.
  • In your slow cooker, place the sliced onions at the bottom, then layer the seasoned beef on top.
  • Pour the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder over the beef and onions, stirring gently.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until beef is fork-tender.
  • Remove half a cup of liquid, whisk in flour until smooth, return to pot, and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.
