  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Consider gluten-free soy sauce if needed.
  • 1 large egg Optional; helps bind the mixture.

For Assembly

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing on cabbage.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Optional.

How to Make Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Carefully cut the cabbage into ½ inch thick rounds. Brush both sides with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or turkey, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg (if using). Mix until well combined.
  • Form them into patties, pressing them down gently onto the cabbage rounds.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the burgers and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until melted and bubbling.
  • Garnish the burgers with fresh parsley and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For an extra kick, add some sliced jalapeños on top before broiling.
