How to Make Savory Maple Glazed Salmon with Pecans

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and black pepper until combined.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the salmon skin-side down for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  • Pour the maple glaze over the salmon, evenly coating it.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes until cooked through and flakes easily at 145°F (63°C).
  • Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and golden.
  • Remove salmon from the oven, let it rest for a minute, then sprinkle with toasted pecans and parsley before serving.
  • Serve your salmon with sides like quinoa or steamed vegetables.

Notes

Optional: Squeeze lemon juice over the salmon before serving for a zesty kick.
