Instructions

How to Make Savory Hoisin Beef Noodles

  • Boil Noodles: Begin by cooking the egg or rice noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with a little oil to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Marinate Beef: Place sliced beef in a bowl and mix with hoisin sauce and a pinch of salt. Allow it to marinate for about 10 minutes to soak up the delicious flavors.
  • Heat Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering, setting the stage for stir-frying the beef.
  • Cook Beef: Add the marinated beef to the hot skillet and stir-fry for about 2–3 minutes until it’s browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  • Add More Oil: In the same skillet, drizzle a bit more oil to ensure the vegetables cook nicely and absorb flavors.
  • Sauté Vegetables: Toss in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant, then add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until vibrant and tender-crisp.
  • Return Beef: Pour the cooked beef back into the skillet with the veggies.
  • Add Sauce: In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch combined with water. Pour this over the beef and veggies, tossing to combine and heat everything for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  • Toss with Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss vigorously until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
  • Garnish: Serve hot, topped with sliced green onions for a delightful finish.
