Cooking Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the Italian sausages and brown them on all sides for 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the sliced onions and bell peppers for 5-6 minutes until soft.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour the beer into the skillet, scraping up browned bits from the bottom.
  • Stir in the Dijon mustard, dried oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Return the browned sausages to the skillet, ensuring even distribution.
  • Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes until sausages are cooked through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with hoagie rolls or bread.

Notes

For a refreshing contrast, serve with a side salad. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on the stove.
