Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 1 pound beef sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil can substitute with canola or sesame oil

For the Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce vegetarian option available
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar can substitute with apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil reduce or omit if allergic
  • 2 cloves minced garlic fresh preferred
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger fresh preferred

For the Noodles & Vegetables

  • 8 ounces egg noodles or rice noodles opt for gluten-free if needed
  • 1 cup bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup broccoli chopped
  • 2 green onions green onions for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for garnish

Cooking Instructions

  • Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil in a bowl. Let it marinate for 15-30 minutes to infuse those delicious flavors.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger. Set aside this luscious sauce mixture for later.
  • Follow the package instructions to cook your egg or rice noodles until tender. Drain them, then toss with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Set aside to keep the beef tender.
  • In the same skillet, add bell pepper and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet still crisp, adding color and crunch to the dish.
  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet, pour in the prepared sauce, and mix everything well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens beautifully. Add the noodles, toss to combine, and serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Optional: Add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper for a spicy kick!
