Equipment

  • Oven
  • Shallow dish
  • Zipper Bag
  • Oven-Safe Dish

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 4 pieces Thin Boneless Pork Chops Choose uniform thickness for even cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard Can substitute with honey mustard.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Vegetable oil can be used.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Kosher Salt Use regular salt if kosher is unavailable.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust according to taste.

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic is a great alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme Use dried or fresh thyme interchangeably.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Finely chopped fresh onion can work too.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Can substitute with basil or Italian seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Feel free to swap with Italian seasoning.

Crust

  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Avoid powdered cheese for best results.

Instructions

Cooking Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder, thyme, onion powder, oregano, kosher salt, black pepper, and dried basil. Coat each pork chop in the marinade, seal them in a zipper bag, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavor).
  • Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) so it's ready when the chops are coated.
  • Pour grated Parmesan cheese into a shallow dish. Take each marinated chop and roll it in the cheese until fully coated.
  • Arrange the chops on a rack inside an oven-safe dish. Season with the remaining salt and pepper, then roast them for 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 155°F (69°C).
  • Once baked, let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra zing, drizzle with a little lemon juice before serving. Marinated raw pork chops can be kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking.
