  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs Bone-in, skin-on thighs are ideal
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For searing

For the Marinade

  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup Pure maple syrup recommended
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme Fresh thyme recommended
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

  • In a bowl, whisk together pure maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and thyme.
  • Season your chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper, then place them in a resealable bag or dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken.
  • Set your oven to a toasty 400°F (200°C) for cooking.
  • In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear chicken skin-side down for 5-7 minutes.
  • Gently flip the chicken and sear the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour the reserved marinade over the browned chicken.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving with the glaze.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice or a fresh salad for a balanced meal. Marinate in advance for deeper flavor.
