For the Pork Chops

  • 4 pieces Pork Chops Choose bone-in for more flavor and juiciness; about 1 inch thick.

For the Glaze

  • 1/4 cup Honey Adds sweetness and glaze thickness, or substitute with maple syrup for a unique twist.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Orange Juice Use freshly squeezed juice for authentic flavor.
  • 1 unit Zest of an Orange Brings aromatic brightness to the glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Use tamari for gluten-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Helps retain moisture; vegetable oil can be substituted.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; using roasted garlic adds a mellower depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Optional; smoked paprika offers a lovely twist.
  • Salt and Pepper Season to taste.

For Garnish

  • Whisk together honey, fresh orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  • Place pork chops in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chops, seal, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, bring the reserved marinade to a boil in a saucepan and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens.
  • Brush the thickened glaze over the pork chops during the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
  • Let the chops rest for a couple of minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley and serving.

Notes

Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze in plastic wrap for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven maintaining juiciness.
