  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar Bright acidity; apple cider vinegar can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger Enhances warmth; use fresh ginger for brightness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes For mild kick; substitute with sriracha if desired.

For Serving

  • 3 cups Cooked White Rice Sticky rice varieties like jasmine are best.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions For freshness; chives can be used instead.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds For garnish; can be omitted.

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about a minute.
  • Cut the pork tenderloin into bite-sized cubes.
  • Add the pork to the skillet, sautéing until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add sesame oil. After a few seconds, add minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Return the pork to the skillet, stirring well to coat with the sauce; simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Serve the honey garlic pork over cooked white rice, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For added richness, consider topping with a fried egg. Adjust sauce sweetness and spice to your preference. Use sticky rice for better sauce absorption.
