Instructions

How to Make Ground Turkey and Zucchini Skillet

  • Pour a tablespoon of olive oil into a large skillet over medium heat. Let it warm up for about 30 seconds, until shimmering but not smoking.
  • Chop the onion and add it to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes soft and translucent.
  • Mince the garlic and toss it into the skillet with the onions. Cook for about 30 seconds, just enough for it to become fragrant.
  • Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 6-8 minutes until it's fully browned and cooked through.
  • While the turkey cooks, wash, trim, and slice the zucchini into half-moon shapes to ensure even cooking.
  • Stir the sliced zucchini into the turkey mixture. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the zucchini is slightly softened, but still maintains its firmness.
  • Sprinkle in the dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir well to evenly distribute the spices.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 3-4 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Stir until it's melted and well incorporated throughout the dish.
  • Take a taste, and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve your delicious Ground Turkey and Zucchini Skillet immediately, and enjoy!
