  • 1 package Puff Pastry can use gluten-free if needed

For the Filling

  • 8 slices Sliced Ham can substitute with turkey, chicken, or salami
  • 1 cup Cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar, or Swiss) any melting cheese works

For the Egg Wash

  • 1 large Egg for golden sheen
  • 1 tablespoon Water for mixing with egg

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper to taste
  • Dried Herbs optional, like oregano or thyme

How to Make Cheesy Ham and Cheese Sticks

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles approximately 3x4 inches.
  • Place a slice of ham and a cheese stick on each pastry rectangle, then fold over and seal the edges, crimping with a fork.
  • Combine an egg with a splash of water in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Brush this mixture over the tops of the sticks and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with your choice of dips.
