For the Pasta

  • 12 ounces Fettuccine Pasta Don't rinse the pasta after draining to keep it saucy!

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound Chicken Breast Turkey works just as well!

For the Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Substitute with butter for a richer flavor profile.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Substitution: Garlic powder can do in a pinch (1/4 tsp = 1 clove).
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Try half-and-half for a lighter consistency.
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated melts beautifully for that perfect finish.
  • to taste Salt Adjust to your taste preference.
  • to taste Pepper Adjust to your taste preference.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Parsley Fresh basil works wonderfully for a different flavor twist.

Cooking Instructions

  • Cook the pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then add fettuccine. Cook according to package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, but remember not to rinse!
  • Sauté the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  • Add garlic: Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to low and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant—be careful not to overcook it!
  • Create the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and gently bring it to a simmer. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
  • Melt the cheese: Gradually stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt into the sauce until you've achieved a smooth consistency.
  • Combine with pasta: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
  • Garnish and serve: Finish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley for freshness and an extra touch of color before serving.

Notes

Optional: Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat!
