  • 2 cups Beef Stock Chicken or vegetable broth can be swapped.
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Greek yogurt can be a lighter option.
  • 1 cup Sour Cream Can substitute with cream cheese.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Opt for sharp cheddar.

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil the medium pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, cooking until browned and no pink remains. Drain excess fat, keeping a tablespoon for flavor.
  • Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the diced sweet onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is soft and fragrant.
  • Make the Sauce: Sprinkle in the all-purpose flour and stir, cooking for about a minute. Gradually add the beef stock and marinara sauce, whisking until thickened and smooth.
  • Combine Ingredients: Fold in the cooked pasta, browned beef, heavy cream, and sour cream until well mixed and heated through.
  • Add Cheese: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Serve: Transfer to bowls, garnishing with fresh parsley or extra cheese if desired. Enjoy hot!
