How to Make Irresistible Chocolate Peppermint Bark Cups

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely smooth and melty.
  • Use a pastry brush or spoon to evenly coat the bottom and sides of a muffin tin with the melted chocolate.
  • Place the coated muffin tin into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips using the same microwave method.
  • Stir the crushed peppermint candies into the melted white chocolate until well mixed.
  • Spoon the peppermint mixture into each chocolate cup, filling them about 3/4 of the way full.
  • Drizzle or spoon any remaining melted white chocolate over the peppermint layer.
  • Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle additional crushed peppermint candies and a pinch of optional sea salt on top.
  • Return the muffin tin to the refrigerator for another 15 minutes or until completely set.
  • Carefully remove the set cups from the muffin tin and arrange them on a platter.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle with dark chocolate for an extra layer of flavor. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, in the fridge for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months.
