For the Cream Filling

  • 1 cup Strawberries Opt for ripe strawberries for best results.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Substitute with coconut cream to make it dairy-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Use unsalted for more control over sweetness.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Adjust to taste if you prefer less sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Go for pure vanilla for a richer taste.

For the Chocolate Coating

  • 8 oz Chocolate (for coating) Select high-quality dark, milk, or dairy-free chocolate.

  • Wash and hull the strawberries thoroughly. Blend them into a smooth puree, and strain if desired.
  • In a saucepan, gently heat the heavy cream and butter together until melted. Whisk in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then stir in your strawberry puree. Allow it to cool slightly.
  • Transfer the mixture into a piping bag or use a spoon to drop dollops onto a parchment-lined baking tray. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until the chocolate cream centers are firm.
  • Chop your chocolate into small pieces. Melt it in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  • Carefully dip the chilled cream centers into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated, then place them back onto the parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate the chocolates until the chocolate shell has hardened completely, about 30 minutes.

Notes

Optional: Sprinkle with sea salt or coconut flakes before the chocolate sets.
