How to Make Decadent Hot Cocoa Brownie Bites

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a mini muffin pan by greasing or lining it with paper liners.
  • Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in the granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Cool the mixture for a few minutes, then whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  • Whisk together the dry ingredients: cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  • Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips if desired.
  • Fill each mini muffin cup about 2/3 full with the brownie batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. They’re done when a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Top each brownie bite with mini marshmallows and broil for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted if desired.
  • Melt chocolate chips with a splash of milk in the microwave, then drizzle it over the cooled brownie bites.

Notes
