How to Make Crockpot BBQ Chicken Mac and Cheese

  • Grease the crockpot generously with cooking spray or olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Boil elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente, usually around 7-9 minutes. Drain well and set aside.
  • In the greased crockpot, stir together the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt until well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, saving 0.5 cup for later.
  • Cover the crockpot with its lid and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the reserved cheese on top and cover.
  • Once the cheese has melted, stir the mac and cheese well before serving hot.

Notes
