Ingredients
  

For the Shells

  • 12 pieces Jumbo Pasta Shells Look for smooth shells for easier filling.

For the Filling

  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese Cottage cheese can be used as a substitute.
  • 6 ounces Fresh Spinach Can use frozen spinach if fresh isn't available.
  • 8 ounces Mozzarella Cheese Fresh mozzarella adds a gourmet touch.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Can swap for grated Pecorino for a sharper flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used for stronger aroma.
  • to taste Salt Adjust according to your taste preference.
  • to taste Pepper Adjust according to your taste preference.

For the Sauce

  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce Consider homemade for a fresher taste.

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large pot, fill with water and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a rolling boil.
  • Carefully add the jumbo shells and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, chopped spinach, half of the mozzarella, parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  • Gently fill each shell with the ricotta mixture, packing generously.
  • Spread half of the marinara sauce in a baking dish. Place the stuffed shells on top and pour remaining sauce over them.
  • Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

You can prepare the stuffed shells a day ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake. Consider adding olive oil before serving for extra richness.
