Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour replace with 1:1 gluten-free flour blend for a gluten-free option
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese swap with nutritional yeast for dairy-free version
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast ensure it's fresh
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 cup Warm Water warm, but not boiling
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Butter optional for dairy-free
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

For the Toppings

  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce use gluten-free brands
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese use dairy-free cheese for vegan pizza
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes halved for better flavor distribution
  • 1 cup Pepperoni gluten-free, or swap for veggies
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese (for topping) optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine the all-purpose flour, parmesan cheese, baking powder, salt, active dry yeast, honey, warm water, and olive oil until the mixture is cohesive and forms a soft dough.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) while the dough rises.
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface, shaping it into a heart.
  • Carefully transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone, ensuring it retains its heart shape.
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder; brush this mixture generously over the crust.

Baking

  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, then layer on mozzarella, fresh basil, halved cherry tomatoes, pepperoni, and any additional toppings.
  • Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Optional: Sprinkle with fresh basil just before serving.

Notes

Store leftover slices in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap unbaked pizza in plastic and foil, lasting up to 2 months in the freezer.
