How to Make Hobo Casserole Ground Beef

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned, draining excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Arrange thinly sliced potatoes over the beef mixture in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheeses over the potatoes. Pour beef broth or water around the edges and drizzle with milk if desired.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
